  • Objectives

DLF started to give scholarships to needy students of various schools.  We observed that, some intelligent students left their study due to money.  They have no money for school fees & study materials.  For this noble cause, DLF started this project.

  • Accomplishment

With the help of our members and donors we provided scholarships & school kits to Kadvibai Kanya vidhyalay (girls school) and Metoda Primary School.  RCRM provided school fess, uniforms, notebooks, study materials, etc to needy students.

  • Beneficiaries

Total 52 students were beneficiary from above mention schools.

  • Introduction of Project

The Joy of Giving Week is the beginning of a national movement.  It was a First Time in India.  It is a platform for all across the country to celebrate the joy of giving.

This is opportunity to reach out to someone less privileged – by donating money, volunteering time, providing your skills and even just saying a kind word to someone who may not have expected it from you.

This movement started by “Give India”: Venkat Krishnan.   In India, many celebrities and corporate houses supported this mega movement.  In Rajkot, DLF  hosted the event in cooperation with Rotary Club of Rajkot Midtown.

  • Accomplishment

During the JOG week all clinics of RCRM give his free consultation of doctors, physiotherapy during JOG week celebration. Distributed free dentures, hearing aids, medicines, Educational tour to RCRM’s Dolls Museum, Awareness rally – cycle rally & waking rally by more than 8000 students.

During this week we collected Collecting Clothes, old newspapers, 14000 kgs Grains, Cash, Toys for Poor children’s education, food, etc and distributed in slum areas, by hands of these school children only.  We also organised Blood Donation camps for needy patients; total 300 + bottles collected.  Totally more than 8,000 pledges of Eye Donation were collected, during JOG Week.

  • Beneficiaries

For all the Grains collected, it would be distributed to 25 slum areas of Rajkot.
For the newspapers collected, its proceeds would be used to educate the poor children of these 21 slum children.
